Mert Danışmanlık was started by lawyer Cemal Gönül and is specialized in providing consulting services on insurance law, maritime and land trading affairs, maritime laws, and land forwarding laws to its domestic and foreign customers.
This company also provides consulting services on all other fields of the law. Its staff are specialized in protection of the customers’ rights and for compensation of their losses.
The legal services in question are provided at not only litigation level but also daily management level to protect the customers against lawsuits which might be filed in the future. Consulting and representation services are provided for contracts and settlements too. Consulting services provided during the contracting stage ensure the customers to take measures against possible legal risks.
Cemal Gönül graduated from Naval Academy in 1981, began to study master’s degree education at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Business Administration the same year, worked as second mate and then first mate at various ships of private sector maritime companies for European and South American maritime lines from 1984 to 1991, and studied law at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Law between 1984 and 1988. He was promoted to master in 1991 and obtained his oceangoing master certificate. He became a member of Istanbul Bar Association in May 1991 and is now working as a freelance lawyer too.
